This sale will feature the following 200 Head of Fancy, True F-1 Heifers!

200 Fancy reputation open True F-1 weaned Tigerstripe heifers consigned from the well known Deep Creek Ranch of San Saba. These heifers are sired out of J.D. Hudgins Brahman bulls and choice Horned Hereford cows. Heifers have had all their shots, ocv, and weaned in June. These heifers will be sorted and shaped into uniform groups. This group of heifers were born last fall and will weigh 650 to 750 pounds.   • 50 Choice open true F1 Tigerstripe heifers that are all home raised out of horned Hereford cows and V8 Ranch Brahman bulls. Of this group 25 will weigh around 600 – 650 pounds with the other 25 averaging 800 pounds. Heifers were all dehorned, ocv and will not be carrying any brands or earmarks.
  • 20 Open true F1 Tigerstripe heifers that will weigh around 700 pounds, all ocv and will not be carrying any brands. Heifers are one raising out of horned Hereford cows and Hudgins Brahman bulls.

  • 7 Choice second Brangus cows that will be long bred to Steiner Ranch Brangus bulls. Cows are all ocv. These are big and good.
  • 16 Three year old cows that have just had their first calf weaned and are selling back open so you can bred them to the bull of your choice. 12 will be true F1 Tigerstripe (Deep Creek breeding) and 4 will be Brangus. These will make one ideal set for a fall calving program.

J-7 Ranch Complete Angus Herd Dispersal
(Selling in conjunction with the Deep Creek F-1 Sale)
The J-7 Ranch located 10 miles east of Breckenridge, Texas has recently sold and will be dispersing their entire Angus herd. The ranch has consistently raised cattle out of some of the top seed stock in the industry including G13 Structure, Gridmaker, New Design 878, BR New Design 036, Connealy Bottomline, BAR Ext Traveler 205, New Design 323, and TC Advantage. The bulls they have used have had EPD’s good for calving ease along with genetics that produce superior weaning and yearling weights on the calf crop. The ranch has had both a fall and spring calving herd. This group of cattle were all raised on the J-7 Ranch. Pairs will all have matching ear tags, cows are all year branded on the shoulder and individually numbered on the left hip. This is a good productive, gentle set of cows that will be sorted and shaped into uniform groups. If you want some good Angus cattle don’t miss this dispersal.
Consignment Includes:
  • 90 Fall calving Angus cows that will calve beginning the last part of September to the first of November for approximately a 45 day period. Cows will all be 4, 5 and 6 years old.
  • 80 Pair of Angus that will have big Angus calves at side weighing 375 to 425 pounds with most all selling as 3 in 1’s. Bulls were pulled out of the pasture on August 1st. This group will all be 7 and 8 years old.
  • 40 Angus heifers that will begin calving at the beginning of December for a 60 day period out of proven low birth weight Angus bulls. Heifers are ocv and will weigh 1025 to 1125 pounds.
  • 30 Angus heifers that were raised out of the registered herd and were AI’d to a proven low birth weight Angus bull to calve the first of December. This is a good set of heifers. Registration papers can be purchased on this group of heifers at buyer’s expense.
  • 90 Registered Angus cows that will be 2 to 5 years old with 39 selling as pairs and 51 selling as long bred to Angus bulls. The pairs will be selling back open so you can choose the bull of your choice to put back with them. Papers will be available on the cows.
  • 80 Angus pairs with calves at side weighing 375 to 425 and bred back to Angus bulls. Cows will be weighing 1200 to 1250 pounds and will be solid to short solid mouth ranging in age from nine to eleven years old. This group will make someone a good set of turnout cows.
  • 25 Registered Angus bulls that are yearlings on up to three years old. Bulls will be selling in good pasture condition having been raised over hilly and rocky terrain, but are ready to service cows quickly and efficiently. These bulls all go back to the bloodlines that were discussed earlier in the ad. The bulls will all be fertility tested and ready to go to work.
Steer consignments include:
  • 210 Choice true F1 steers that are the brothers to the Deep Creek heifers. These steers have had all their shots just like the Premium Sale (Vac 45) program requires and were all weaned at the 1st part of June. Steers will weigh 700 to 800 pounds and sorted into uniform groups.
