| Receipts totaled 1922 head. Over 400 pairs sold with most having younger calves at side along with a few 3 in 1's bringing from $1100 up to $1460 with one set of first calf Brangus selling for $1675 per pair. The mixed colored and pairs not as fleshy brought from $930 up to $1125. The longbred cows sold from $1000 up to $1275 per head with the shortbred and middle bred cows going from $840 up to $1060 with over 500 bred cows offered. Approximately 212 bred heifers sold with the bigger and longer bred heifers selling from $1000 to $1275 and the shorter and middle breds ranging from $850 to $1000. A little over 500 open heifers sold with the better heifers ready to breed ranging in price from $750 to $920. The younger open heifers and ones carrying a little less flesh brought from $550 to $750. The next Replacement Female Sale will be held Saturday, May 3, 2008 at 10:00am in San Saba. |
