| Receipts totaled 1847 head with buyers from Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Florida in attendance. The overall market was active and demand good on most replacement cattle. Over 300 pair were offered with most of the younger pairs selling in a range from $1050 to $1500 with one set of Brangus first calf 3 in 1 pairs going for $1625. The solid mouth pairs sold from $900 up to $1150. A good set of bred cows were offered bringing in a range of $950 to $1200 on the younger longbred cows with the shorter bred cows selling from $825 to $1050. The bigger and better bred heifers brought from $900 up to $1170 with one set of Brahmans bringing $1250. The younger and shorter bred heifers sold from $725 up to $950. A very limited number of open heifers were offered to establish any trend. One set of open true F-1 Tigerstripes sold for $1000. The next Replacement Female Sale will be held Saturday, December 6, 2008 at 10:00am in San Saba. |
