Jordan Cattle Auction Mason & San Saba October 2, 2008
	Receipts totaled 4740 head for the week. The Barber-Moler Hereford Sale sold 60 Horned and Polled Hereford bulls which averaged $3940 with the top selling bull going for $9500. The 10 show heifers averaged $12,250 per head. The 50 Head of commercial bred Hereford cows and heifers sold for an average of $1150 and the 50 Black Baldies averaged $1203. With the financial market still in a crisis, the calf market was softer on most cattle with stocker steers selling $5 lower and heifers selling steady to last week. Feeder steers were $2 lower and heifers were $3 lower. Pacer cows sold $4 lower and packer bulls were $3 lower.
