"Best of the Best"

The market was active with buyers on hand from all over Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and New Mexico to see 1366 head go through the Best of the Best Female Sale. Pairs all sold higher with most bringing from $1000 up to $1325. The bred cows were also in good demand with most being longbred and selling from $950 to $1190. The activity was better on the bred heifers with the longbred going for $850 up to $1140 per head. A larger number of open heifers were offered with the bigger, longer aged heifers bringing from $650 to $890 with one set of 7 open Brahman heifers going for $1130. The next replacement female sale will be Saturday, April 4, 2008 @10:00am in Mason, Tx. |
