Receipts totaled 3052.  A choice offering of females were on hand with strong demand from buyers all over Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma.  Over 1100 pairs were sold with the better pairs selling from $1150 up to $1540 on a fancy set of 14 first calf Black Baldy pairs.  A couple of lots of Brahman pairs sold on up to $1610 per pair.  The pairs carrying less flesh and the solid mouth pairs ranged from $1050 up to $1200.  Approximately 400 bred cows were sold going for $900 up to $1300 with one set of 7 Black Simi/Angus/Maine Cross cows with show calf genetics that were medium bred sold for $1530.  The bred heifer market was strong with over 400 being offered with the better fall calving heifers selling from $950 up to $1280 on 45 one raising set of Brangus.  The open and exposed heifers brought from $700 up to $1010 depending on size and kind.  One set of 5 choice open Brahman heifers went for $1390.  The next Replacement Female sale will be Saturday, August 28, 2010 in San Saba.
