Special Replacement Female Sale

Recent rains throughout the Southwest attributed to the full house of cattlemen on hand that came to
Mason last Saturday to purchase replacement females. Quality on the cattle for the most part was
excellent which made for a strong demand at the sale. All neighboring states were represented in the
buyer circle, along with many areas of Texas that received recent rains. You don’t have to call the USDA
to know the shortage of cattle numbers are down all across the country making for a very strong market.
The real cowmen, from wherever he hangs his hat, will tell you that cow numbers are at an all time low.
This is certainly true on those uniform groups that are hard to find of high quality. Thanks to Merial for
donating a 40 dose container of Ivomec to Circle A Ranch for the highest dollar group of females in the
sale and a 40 dose container of Ivomec to the High Volume Buyer of the day, Lynn Hill. Receipts totaled
2065 head. Next Replacement sale is Saturday, August 24, 2002 in San Saba, Tx.
