Jordan Cattle Auction San Saba December 2, 2006 Receipts totaled 3826. A choice offering of replacements were sold with most selling on a softer tone due to the lack of rainfall in Texas and the surrounding states. Over 1700 bred cows were sold with the longer bred ones ranging from $875 to $1120, medium breds going from $750 to $1060 and the shortbreds selling from $600 to $900. Around 600 pair were sold ranging from $900 to $1505 with most of the pairs bringing from $1050 to $1250 per pair. Approximately 1000 bred heifers were sold with the bigger medium breds and longbreds selling from $850 to $1320 with most going from $900 to $1060 per head. The thinner, younger and shorter bred heifers brought from $700 to $950. A limited number of open heifers were sold ranging from $550 to $750 depending on their size and kind.
