Jordan Cattle Auction
San Saba
January 25, 2003
A very active and strong market was seen by a full house of gentlemen and
cattlewomen to start the New Year's series of special sales. The better cow
calf pairs and long bred cows continue to be in excellent demand. The bigger,
better long bred heifers also sold steady to strong. The medium bred cows and
heifers sold steady while the short bred cows and heifers were in less demand.
Open heifers continue to be in very good interest. Receipts totaled 1839 head.
The next Replacement Female sale will be Saturday, February 22nd in San Saba.
