| Receipts totaled 3242. Buyers from all over Texas, New Mexico, Louisiana, Mississippi, Iowa, Nebraska and Kansas were on hand for a very active market on the pairs, bred cows and open heifers. Most of the pairs ranged from $1200 to $1500 with a few sets selling for up to $1600. Bred cows were in strong demand with the longbreds selling from $1050 to $1335 with the shortbred to medium bred cows going from $850 to $1050. The bred heifer market ranged from $975 up to $1275 on the longbreds with the shortbred to medium bred heifers ranging from $875 to $1000. Open heifers saw a strong demand on the home raised sets with most selling from $700 to $900 with one set going for $1020. The next Replacement Female sale will be held Saturday, February 25, 2006 in San Saba. |
