Tom & Diane Risinger Ranch Herd Dispersal
A full house of enthusiastic cattle people attended this renowned herd dispersal.
Ranchers from all over Texas and as far off as Mississippi came to purchase some
of these outstanding herd bulls and females. The eleven herd bulls averaged $2660.00
with the lead off bull going at $4100.00. Topping the females was a group of 5 black
Simangus heifers selling exposed for $1900.00 each. Another group of 15 Simangus heifers
selling medium bred went for $1700.00 each. Nine exposed Simangus heifers brought
$1650.00 each. Four black Simmental heifers medium bred sold for $1550.00. Six pairs
of Bwf Simmental pairs brought$1400.00 each. Numerous other groups of Simmental,
Simangus and Simbrah cows and heifers sold from $1025.00 to $1450.00 each. 563 head
of cattle were offered. Next Thursday, June 5th, we will be selling all the yearling and
coming 2 year old bulls from the Risinger Ranch.
Jordan Cattle Auction Special Replacement Female Sale
Demand remains strong on the top end of the quality pairs and bred cows and heifers.
Compared to our last replacement sale, most classes sold steady. Demand on the solid
mouth cows and pairs and the open and exposed heifers certainly has lessened. The short
bred and medium bred heifers sold on an uneven trend. Receipts totaled 3,911 head.
The next Replacement Female sale will be Saturday, August 2, 2003 in Mason
