| Receipts totaled 2679. The market was very active and demand was good on all classes. The pairs sold $50 to $100 higher with the bigger and fleshier young pairs selling from $1200 to $1450. Pairs that were a little thinner sold from $1000 to $1200. The mixed colored pairs and solid mouth ones ranged from $850 to $1050. Bred cows also sold $50 to $100 higher with most of the younger better kind of winter and spring calving selling in a range from $925 to $1200. Some of the mixed colored cows and ones not having quite as much flesh sold from $800 to $975. Bred heifers were in good demand selling $75 to $150 higher with most selling for $950 up to $1320. The open heifers also were active bringing up to $50 to $75 more going from $750 to $900 depending on size and kind. The next Replacement Female sale will be held Saturday, December 2, 2006 in San Saba. |
