Receipts totaled 2259 head for the week. The market was extremely active with very strong demand on all classes with over 700 weaned calves being offered with premiums of $8.00-$11.00 per cwt. Most all stocker calves sold $2.00-$4.00 higher and feeder steers and heifers sold $3.00-$4.00 higher. Packer cows and bulls all sold steady. There was no sale in Mason in observance of Labor Day. |
